My elderly mother is the freeholder of a house with 4 flats one she rents and we live in the other two and one which she sold 20 yrs ago and is now being sold on again. She received a letter from the solicitor of either the lessee or who she is selling onto, and they ask amongst other questions if:
1. Please confirm the current registration fee for giving notices in accordance with the requirements of the Lease.
2. Is there a Fire Risk Assessment for the building?
3. Is there an Asbestos Report for the building?
All three confuse us, number one we just don't understand and with 2 & 3, are we required by law to have these done?
Expect we shall have to visit a solicitor but would rather avoid.
Anyway any info gratefully received.
